Hair Fair is Officially OPEN!

As of 1am this morning Hair Fair 2012 opened its doors to four sims full

of incredible new hairstyles. There are dozens of creators all sharing of

their time and talent to produce such wonderful releases, as well as

donating a portion of sales from their items to Wigs for Kids...

CURIO - One Voice Fundraiser

For those who do not know, Curio skins has been accused of copyright infringement. For anyone who knows anything about skins in SL, they will know the name Curio and the creator, Gala Phoenix as well. Gala has been in SL since 11/11/2004 (2796). That's a very, very long time.

The first time I purchased skins from Curio was back in 2009 (on my 1st avatar). It was my favorite Curio skin of all as a matter of fact, and one I wore all the time too. It was called, :Curio: Acorn-June-Raccoon (included note card is dated: 2009-02-21 13:31:13 for this skin). I loved it and I still do! Other skin makers came and went. Some stayed around and are still here, I have skins from most of them. But I always go back to my Curio because it is "me" and frankly I think it's lovely.

So what does this have to do with anything? Well, a skin maker came along recently and her name is, Hush Darkrose (who has been also named as, Verikai Vargas of Vixen hair). Hush started her SL life on 11/10/2010 (606) and decided that she too would make skins and called her shop, [ HUSH ] Skins. The funny thing was that HUSH skins looked strangely like CURIO skins. So much so that Gala filed a DMCA Takedown Request with LL against Hush...

(Don't think it I haven't noticed that Hush started her SL on almost the exact day Gala did, except Gala has 6 YEARS under her belt before this person came along. I just think that is too weird to be simple coincidence.)
